Just over 5 years ago I asked if a 'set' of D'Holder knives was possible.
After many discussions it was determined that such a set (25 knives in total) was possible. The style and materials were agreed upon, and the list of animals was drawn up. The "set" was begun.
The knives were to be D'Holder Finger Groove Hunters with Clip blades. The knife that was to be the 'centrepiece' was to be a larger knife(based upon the model D'Holder called his "Polar Bear" model), and fittingly, this knife was to have a 'Polar Bear' engraved upon it.
All the knives were to have Fossilized Mammoth Ivory handles, with two (the outer knives in the display) having Mammoth Bark Ivory, and the other twenty-three knives having Mammoth Inner Ivory handles.
Early in 2008 the set was completed. I took a few photos of the set, then realized that only a professional could adequately do the set justice. The first two and last two photos below are my own efforts, with most being taken by Mr Jim Cooper (Sharp by Coop).
